These are different types of nail systems used to strengthen or build nails.

• Soft gel is flexible and commonly used for gel polish manicures.

• Hard gel and polygel are stronger materials used for building length or structure

• Rubber base is a flexible strengthening base that improves durability and adhesion.

• BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) is a thicker builder gel designed to add strength and structure to natural nails.

The best system depends on the condition and length of the natural nail.

Rubber base is a strengthening gel base that helps smooth the nail surface and improve gel adhesion. It adds flexibility and support, helping manicures last longer without lifting or chipping.

Many salons charge extra for rubber base. At Glam & Go we include it as part of our Russian gel manicures because we believe proper nail preparation and strengthening should be part of the service, not an additional charge.

Nail extensions add length and structure to the natural nail using materials such as gel, acrylic or polygel. They can be created using nail tips or sculpted directly using forms.

At Glam & Go we offer both acrylic and gel extensions, although we often recommend gel extensions because they tend to feel lighter, look more natural and provide flexible strength for everyday wear.

Extensions can be shaped in many styles including square, almond, oval or coffin depending on personal preference and nail structure.

• For gelish polish we stand by a 3-day guarentee.

• For BIAB or hard gel, lifts or gets scratched within 7 days of your appointment, please contact us and we will happily repair the affected nail at no charge.

After the first week, normal wear can occur depending on lifestyle, nail condition and aftercare. Individual nail repairs are available for AED 15 per nail.

If the manicure is more than 3 weeks old, the structure and growth of the natural nail usually require a full new manicure rather than a repair.

This policy applies to services performed at Glam & Go and helps us maintain both quality and nail health for our clients.

A refill (or infill) is done when the natural nail grows out and the gap near the cuticle needs to be rebalanced. The existing structure is maintained while the new growth is filled and reshaped.

At Glam & Go we perform refills only on work done in our salon, typically within 2–3 weeks. After that period the nail structure usually needs to be refreshed with a new manicure to ensure proper balance, durability and nail health.
